As a member of the Introduction Weekend Committee, you will organize the yearly Introduction Weekend. The Introduction Weekend is organized to acquaint new students with VESTING and each other. The new first year students will get to know their fellow students in an informal atmosphere during a very fun weekend. The Introduction Weekend Committee comes up with all activities and planning for the weekend. This includes the bus to the location, the accommodation, food and drinks.
As Chairman of the Introduction Weekend Committee, you will guide the committee in the right direction. You will have to consider whether all committee members are carrying out their tasks and what still needs to be done to organize the Introduction Weekend. You lead the meetings, make the agenda’s and set the deadlines for the whole committee. Next to that, you will have contact with the board and keep them up to date with what is going on.
As Secretary of the Introduction Weekend Committee, you are responsible for contact outside the committee. You are for instance responsible for keeping the mail up to date and are in contact with the participants as the Introduction Weekend approaches. Next to that, you will make the minutes of the meetings of the committee.
As Treasurer of the Introduction Weekend Committee, you are responsible for the financial matters surrounding the Introduction Weekend. This means that you will be responsible for both the budget and realization. Within the budget and realization, you will have to take into account all expenses of the Introduction Weekend, such as groceries, transport and necessities for the activities.
As Activity Coordinator of the Introduction Weekend Committee, you are responsible for all activities during the Introduction Weekend. You can let your creativity run wild to come up with activities to fill the 3 days. Those activities include both the afternoon and evening activities.
As Camp Coordinator of the Introduction Weekend Committee, you are first of all responsible for the camp's script. You will decide what will be done at which time and how much time there is for all activities. In addition, you are also responsible for transport to the location, the dinner after camp and that all necessary materials are present.
In 2022 the weekend will be organized by Saskia Groeneveld (Chairman), Freeke Boerrigter (Secretary), Tieme Postma (Treasurer), Jeroen Liefers (Activity Coordinator) and Heleen Hulsebosch (Camp Coordinator).
