VESTING pays a lot of attention to the information on its website. Possible author’s rights on the content, shapes, images and the program are all property of VESTING. If you find any material on the website which you believe infringes on any third party or property rights, please contact info@devesting.nl. VESTING cannot be held responsible for the information provided on the website. She cannot guarantee that the services which are offered on the website are all available.
Privacy Protocol
If you become a VESTING Member, you will be asked to provide VESTING some personal information. Details submitted to VESTING are under the responsibility of her. VESTING values the privacy of its members. Therefore, VESTING keeps the information that VESTING Members provide VESTING secure and confidential. More information regarding your privacy is explained below under "Privacy Policy".
Special circumstances
In case of special circumstances, such as the cancellation or relocation of a VESTING Event, she will inform the VESTING Members. In case of the cancellation of a VESTING Event due to circumstances beyond VESTING’s control, VESTING is not liable to repay the participation fee.
Conditions of the VESTING Membership
Your membership will be automatically renewed at the start of the new academic year. The period of renewal will be one entire year. By becoming a member, you authorise VESTING to collect the membership fee from your bank account. You authorise VESTING to do this each renewed year. If you want to cancel your membership, you have to send an email to info@devesting.nl including a formal statement of cancellation of your membership. If you cancel your membership after the 31st of August you will still be charged a membership fee for the entire academic year. Since you have to be a member of EBF as well, VESTING also shares information of their members with EBF to ensure that all VESTING Members are also a member of the EBF. They will collect the EBF Membership fee.
After graduation of the Bsc. Econometrics and Operations Research and if not continuing with the Msc. Econometrics, Operations Research and Actuarial Studies, or after graduation of the Msc. Econometrics, Operations Research and Actuarial Studies, your membership will automatically be canceled. You will automatically become a VESTING Alumnus. Being a VESTING Alumnus is completely free. If you do not want to be a VESTING Alumnus, please send an email to info@devesting.nl including a formal statement that you do not want to become a VESTING Alumnus.
Privacy Policy
This privacy policy sets out how VESTING uses and protects any information that you give VESTING when you use this website. VESTING is committed to ensuring that your privacy is protected. Should we ask you to provide certain information by which you can be identified when using this website, then you can be assured that it will only be used in accordance with this privacy statement. VESTING may change this policy from time to time by updating this page. You should check this page from time to time to ensure that you are happy with any changes.
Information
VESTING documents the information you give us about yourself when you become a member. We may collect the following information: personal information (name, date of birth, gender), contact information (email address, mobile phone, street name and number, postal code, city) and student information (student number, study and study year) and banking information (bank account number, bank account holder, bank city, BIC number). Details submitted by you are then under the responsibility of VESTING. We require this information to understand your needs and provide you with a better service, and in particular for the following reasons: internal record keeping, collecting payments for our services and the annual payment of our membership fee, improving our products and services, periodically sending newsletters, career information and sending text messages for promotion reasons. We may use the information to customize the website according to your interests.
When subscribing for certain events that VESTING organizes we may ask for additional personal information, this will only be the case when this information is necessary for the event and will only be used for this event, examples of this include allergies and diet wishes. The board of VESTING will make sure that no unnecessary information will be asked from you. When subscribing to services of VESTING, she preserves the right to provide the list of participants with the necessary information to the organizing committee.
Usage of data
During your membership, the provided information will be used as this is described in the policy above. We will use your data for the services mentioned above for the duration of your studies or until you unsubscribe from the VESTING Membership. After this, we only use your data for internal record keeping. After you finish your studies you can become an alumnus of VESTING. In this case, your information will be used for alumni services, such as receiving alumni newsletters and receiving invitations for alumni socials. In case you want to unsubscribe from the VESTING Alumni, you can send an email to info@devesting.nl.
Security
We are committed to ensuring that your information is secure. In order to prevent unauthorized access or disclosure, we have put in place suitable physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online. The VESTING Board will make sure that your information will not be used or shared inappropriately. If you have the idea that your personal information is not used correctly, please contact the VESTING Board. In case of any extreme data leakages, the VESTING Board will contact the privacy security authorities within 72 hours conform to the law and the people involved will be contacted.
Sharing with third parties
VESTING does not share your personal information with any third parties unless this is necessary for providing our services. With these third parties, VESTING will close processing agreements to ensure your information will not be used for other means and is protected. VESTING will still be responsible for processing your information. Since you have to be a member of the EBF as well, VESTING shares the student numbers of their members with the EBF to ensure that all VESTING Members are also a member of the EBF and a student of the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB).
Deleting personal information
As a member of VESTING you always have the right to check your personal information, to alter it, or delete it. Checking or changing your information can be done by logging into the website. If you want to have any information deleted, contact the VESTING Board by sending an email to info@devesting.nl. In case you want all your information removed, it is impossible to remain a member of VESTING and we will terminate your membership at VESTING.
Pictures
During VESTING Events it is possible that pictures will be made and posted on the VESTING Instagram, the VESTING LinkedIn, the VESTING Facebook, or in the Facebook event of VESTING, or posted on the VESTING Website. In case you want to remove these pictures of yourself, you can contact the VESTING Board.
Fees policy
Upon enrolling for an event, the VESTING Board assumes you will be present at the event. A cancellation is valid only when sent by email to info@devesting.nl or a specific member of the VESTING Board. In case of illness, one needs to indicate upfront that their health is not optimal and thus their attendance to the event unsure; cancelling on the day of the event saying you have been ill for days is insufficient. Upon cancellation after the close of the subscriptions without a valid reason (valid reasons being for example cases of deaths, hospital admittance, or illness confirmed by a medical specialist.), the following penalties described in this document are applicable. Note that these penalties can be used as guidelines by the VESTING Board. The VESTING Board can always deviate in specific situations by taking mitigating measures.
A. General guidelines
- In case the participant behaves inappropriately, the organisation can exclude the participant from further participation and give the participant a warning.
- In case the participant is responsible for any damage at the inventory or location of the event, the cost will be charged to the participant.
- The participant can request not to be present at parts of the event, after which the organizing party can consider exceptions to be made for the participant. The participant is obliged to indicate this request within a day upon subscription. If the participant fails to do so, the organizing party is entitled to exclude the participant from participation.Guidelines for informal events
B. Guidelines for informal events
B.1 Single-day informal events with participation fee
- Cancellation of participation without a valid reason up to four days before the event, will result in 0% (zero percent), of the participation fee to be collected;
- Cancellation of participation without a valid reason four to two days before the event, will result in 50% (fifty percent), of the participation fee to be collected;
- Cancellation of participation without a valid reason within two days before the event, will result in the entire participation fee to be collected;
- In case the participant does not show up for a part of the event without cancellation, the entire participation fee will be charged In addition to the participation fee, a fine of €5,- (five euro), will be charged;;
B.2 Multi-day informal events with participation fee
- Cancellation of participation without a valid reason from the close of the subscriptions up to a week before the event, will result in a fine of €15,- (fifteen euro), and 0% (zero percent), of the participation fee to be collected;
- Cancellation of participation without a valid reason a week up to two days before the event, will result in 50% (fifty percent), of the participation fee to be collected;
- Cancellation of participation without a valid reason within two days before the event, will result in the entire participation fee to be collected;
- In case the participant does not show up for a part of the event without cancellation, the entire participation fee will be charged. In addition to the participation fee, a fine of €15,- (fifteen euro), will be charged;
B.3 Informal events without participation fee
- Cancellation of participation without a valid reason within two days before the event, will result in a fine of €5,- (five euro), to be collected;
- In case the participant does not show up for a part of the activity without cancellation, the participant will receive a fine of €10,- (ten euro).
C. Guidelines for formal events
C.1 Formal events with participation fee:
- Cancellation of participation without a valid reason four to two days before the event, will result in the entire participation fee to be collected in case the subscriptions have closed;
- Cancellation of participation without a valid reason for a part of the day, within two days before the event, will result in a fine of €15,- (fifteen euro). In addition to the fine, the participation fee will be charged;
- Cancellation of participation without a valid reason for the entire event, within two days before the event, will result in a fine of €30,- (thirty euro). In addition to the fine, the participation fee will be charged and the participant will receive a warning;
- In case the participant does not show up for a part of the day without cancellation, the participant will receive a fine of €30,- (thirty euro). In addition to the fine, the participation fee will be charged. Furthermore, the participant will receive a warning;
- Cancellation of participation of the dinner after the Career Experience or the Conference within two days before the event will result in 50% (fifty percent) of the participation fee to be collected, if no replacement can be found.
C.2 Formal events without participation fee:
- Cancellation of participation without a valid reason four to two days before the event, will result in a fine of €5,- (five euro), in case the subscriptions have closed;
- Cancellation of participation without a valid reason for a part of the day, within two days before the event, will result in a fine of €15,- (fifteen euro);
- Cancellation of participation without a valid reason for the entire event, within two days before the event, will result in a fine of €30,- (thirty euro). In addition to the fine, the participant will receive a warning;
- In case the participant does not show up for a part of the day without cancellation, the participant will receive a fine of €30,- (thirty euro). In addition to the fine, the participant will receive a warning;
D. Blacklist:
- A student can for example receive a warning for inappropriate behaviour, by cancellation shortly before the event without a valid reason or by not showing up during the event.
- Two warnings results in placement on the blacklist. Students who are placed on the blacklist, will be informed about this. They will be excluded from participation in any formal event organised by VESTING for the next year.
- There is no opportunity to discuss the blacklist.
- The blacklist is only available for the VESTING Board, and will thus not be published.
E. Declaration policy:
- Declaration of travel costs needs to be done within 5 working days, afterwards the right to do so expires.
- Expenses can only be claimed with sufficient proof of payment.
